WORKPLACE TECHNOLOGY

People. Devices. A connected working day.

A useful technology plan connects the way people work with the systems and support behind them.

People

Start with roles, daily workflows and the help your team needs.

Devices

Bring access, business applications and working tools together.

Operations

Define ownership, maintenance and the next improvements.

Your starting point · scope and responsibilities

MAKE THE NEXT DECISION CLEARER

Give your internal team a clear support boundary.

Define where Network Experts adds capacity and where your own team keeps operational control.

Responsibility map

Assign device, identity, network, application and provider tasks to named roles in the agreed operating plan.

Escalation and access

Agree reporting, administrative access, change approval and how work moves between teams.

Shared planning

Review recurring issues and upcoming changes without assuming every task is included in the support agreement.

START WITH THE BUSINESS NEED

Make the technology work for your people.

A capable internal team can still face competing demands. Routine requests interrupt project work, specialist tasks wait for available capacity, and coverage depends on a small number of people. Co-managed IT works best when the responsibilities, tools, and escalation paths are agreed before work is shared.

Time for your priorities

Assign agreed recurring tasks or support queues so your internal team can concentrate on business systems, projects, and the decisions only it can make.

Keep control and context

Retain your preferred ownership model while documenting changes, access, and decisions in a shared operating process.

Add capacity deliberately

Address a defined coverage or skills gap without introducing a second team whose work overlaps or conflicts with existing responsibilities.

WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH

Practical capabilities. Defined responsibilities.

01

Responsibility and coverage planning

Map recurring tasks, support queues, platforms, and escalation needs. Assign an owner and backup contact for each area, including decisions that remain with your internal team.

02

Shared support operations

Coordinate agreed request categories, escalation handoffs, ticket visibility, and employee communications. Align priorities and completion criteria across both teams.

03

Device and infrastructure administration

Take on selected inventory, health review, patch coordination, or platform administration tasks. Define maintenance authority and change windows for the systems included.

04

Specialist project support

Add scoped cloud, security, network, or migration assistance when a project needs additional expertise. Separate project deliverables and acceptance criteria from recurring service work.

05

Documentation and operating reviews

Maintain agreed runbooks, configuration records, access boundaries, and open-action lists. Review recurring incidents and upcoming demand with the internal service owner.

FROM DISCOVERY TO DELIVERY

A considered path forward.

Find the capacity gap

Discuss team priorities, current workload, specialist needs, and where handoffs or coverage are breaking down.

Define the shared model

Agree scope, tools, access, priorities, change authority, escalation, and reporting responsibilities.

Pilot the handoffs

Start with a defined workstream, validate documentation and communications, and adjust the process with your team.

Review the balance

Assess service demand, unresolved dependencies, project plans, and whether the division of work still fits.

Know what success means.

Before work begins, agree on the scope, responsible owners, acceptance criteria, and handover requirements. We’ll discuss the evidence and documentation relevant to your project during discovery.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before we get started.

Will our IT team retain control?

The operating agreement defines who makes decisions and authorizes changes. Your team can retain platform ownership, security policy, architecture, and business relationships while assigning specific administration or support work to Network Experts.

Can we use our existing ticketing and management tools?

Existing tools are part of discovery. We review access, licensing, workflow, reporting, and practical integration needs before agreeing the system of record. Shared visibility matters more than automatically introducing another tool.

Can the service cover only one platform or location?

Yes. A focused scope can address an identified gap such as endpoint operations, Microsoft 365 administration, or support for a group of locations. Dependencies and escalation to the rest of the environment should remain explicit.

How are conflicting changes avoided?

Agree change ownership, maintenance windows, documentation, and a notification process. Both teams need to know what is scheduled, who can approve it, and where to record the result. Emergency changes require their own agreed handoff.

Can we change the scope as our internal team grows?

The service can be reviewed as staffing, platforms, and business priorities change. Transferring responsibility requires updated documentation, access review, and clear acceptance by the receiving team. Commercial changes follow the agreed contract process.
