SECURITY & CONFIDENCE

Protection is a connected discipline.

Controls, visibility and response decisions need to work together around your business.

Understand

Identify the systems, people and requirements in scope.

Protect

Coordinate access, endpoint and information controls.

Respond

Agree who investigates, authorizes action and follows through.

Your starting point · scope and responsibilities

MAKE THE NEXT DECISION CLEARER

Connect monitoring, people and response ownership.

Choose a managed security scope that explains the covered systems and what happens when an alert needs attention.

Monitoring and response

Confirm the monitoring provider, coverage hours, systems, escalation and authorized response actions in the agreement.

Staff awareness

Plan training, onboarding and appropriate simulations with a clear reporting route.

Evidence and assurance

Use scoped reviews, evidence organization or authorized specialist testing for the business question at hand.

START WITH THE BUSINESS NEED

Make the technology work for your people.

Security tools alone do not explain whether the right information is protected or who acts when something goes wrong. Disconnected controls, excessive access, and undocumented response responsibilities can leave important gaps between teams and providers.

Priorities your business can act on

Translate technical findings into an ordered set of decisions, with business context, accountable owners, and practical next steps.

Coordinated protection

Bring identity, endpoints, email, network controls, and recovery planning into a shared approach instead of treating each product as a separate solution.

Prepared response

Know who evaluates alerts, authorizes containment, communicates with stakeholders, and coordinates recovery before an incident tests the process.

WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH

Practical capabilities. Defined responsibilities.

01

Security posture review

Review agreed systems, existing controls, administrative access, and exposed weaknesses. Prioritize findings by business impact and implementation effort rather than presenting an undifferentiated list.

02

Identity and access security

Plan multifactor authentication, role-based access, privileged-account controls, and periodic access reviews. Account for service identities, emergency access, and approved exceptions.

03

Endpoint and email protection

Coordinate endpoint security and email protection with device management and support. Define alert ownership, investigation boundaries, and authorized response actions.

04

Configuration and vulnerability management

Establish configuration baselines, review vulnerabilities, and coordinate remediation with application owners. Track deferred changes and their business justification.

05

Awareness and response readiness

Develop useful employee guidance, reporting routes, and incident runbooks. Review communications, evidence handling, and specialist escalation through agreed exercises.

FROM DISCOVERY TO DELIVERY

A considered path forward.

Establish the context

Identify critical information, business dependencies, existing controls, and the decisions the assessment must support.

Prioritize the gaps

Create a risk-focused improvement plan with ownership, sequencing, assumptions, and dependencies.

Implement with care

Pilot policy and tool changes, communicate user impact, and retain approved exceptions and recovery procedures.

Validate and revisit

Check configured controls, exercise response arrangements, and review priorities as your environment changes.

Know what success means.

Before work begins, agree on the scope, responsible owners, acceptance criteria, and handover requirements. We’ll discuss the evidence and documentation relevant to your project during discovery.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before we get started.

Do we need to replace our current security tools?

Not necessarily. The first step is to understand the tools you have, how they are configured, and who operates them. Recommendations may involve better coordination, configuration changes, or replacement where a clear gap exists.

Does this service guarantee compliance or prevent every incident?

No. Security work can support an organization’s control requirements and risk decisions, but it cannot guarantee prevention or establish compliance by itself. Assessment boundaries, evidence needs, and independent review requirements should be agreed with your responsible advisers.

Who responds to alerts or a suspected incident?

That must be defined in the engagement. The response plan identifies monitoring coverage, notification paths, containment authority, external specialists, and the business owner responsible for decisions. Coverage should not be inferred from a product name.

Where should we start if our security budget is limited?

Begin with the business services and information that matter most. Review access, device coverage, recoverability, and existing gaps, then prioritize changes by potential impact, dependencies, and implementation effort. The roadmap should show what can be addressed now and what requires a later investment.

Can security policies account for specialist business applications?

Yes. Controls should be tested against representative workflows before broad deployment. Where an application needs an exception, document its owner, reason, compensating safeguards, and review date so the exception remains visible.
