BUILT AROUND YOUR WORK
Connect the everyday experience with the applications, locations and people behind it.
Begin with the tasks your team and customers depend on.
Map the applications, devices and locations involved.
Agree who supports the systems and coordinates changes.
MAKE THE NEXT DECISION CLEARER
A managed Open Dental environment should fit your locations, supported clinical workflows and responsibilities—not just a monthly infrastructure figure.
Review application and hosting permissions, licensing, imaging connections, printing and vendor responsibilities.
Test representative scheduling, billing, imaging and access from the locations that will use the environment.
Include implementation, support, infrastructure, recovery and provider responsibilities. Measured performance depends on region, connectivity and application behavior.
START WITH THE BUSINESS NEED
A growing dental group needs consistent access across practices without multiplying server administration at every site. Network Experts offers a managed cloud implementation designed to control recurring cost while accounting for clinical workflows, imaging, integrations, recovery, and the people who support the environment.
Compare a right-sized managed environment with your current operating costs and vendor-hosted options. Separate implementation, hosting, software licenses, protection, and support so the proposal is easy to evaluate.
Give authorized staff a consistent way to reach the environment from approved offices and remote locations, with access controls and connectivity requirements defined in advance.
Keep application sessions and database traffic close together where appropriate, then test scheduling, charting, reporting, imaging, and printing from representative locations.
WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH
Review practice count, concurrent users, database organization, Clinics workflows, imaging storage, and existing integrations. Size a private managed hosting environment to the group’s needs and document growth assumptions, ownership, and support responsibilities.
Evaluate supported Open Dental connection patterns, including Middle Tier and remote-session approaches. Confirm the selected software versions, vendor guidance, Windows or remote-access licensing, and integrations before implementation. Keep database and administrative access private.
Assess authorized users across offices, headquarters, and international remote teams. Choose hosting location and session placement around measured connectivity and application dependencies, apply secure access controls, and pilot representative locations. Latency varies with geography, internet quality, and workflow.
Test imaging bridges, sensors, document scanning, printing, payments, claims, and other required integrations with the relevant vendors. Confirm what must stay local and what can run in the hosted environment before committing to a migration.
Plan backup, recovery testing, access reviews, monitoring, patching, maintenance windows, and escalation. Document data location and the contractual responsibilities for handling practice information, with recovery objectives agreed for the actual workload.
Prepare a like-for-like proposal alongside options such as Open Dental Cloud and Dentrix Ascend. Compare included functions, licenses, integrations, implementation, storage, backup, support, contract terms, and growth. The aim is a lower recurring cost where the scoped comparison supports it; final savings depend on your requirements and current quotes.
FROM DISCOVERY TO DELIVERY
Map locations, users, databases, workflows, vendor dependencies, current costs, and the outcomes the DSO needs.
Define the hosting, access, licensing, protection, support, and migration scope, with a clear recurring-cost comparison.
Test representative offices and remote users, including imaging, printing, reports, and recovery. Resolve compatibility or performance gaps before rollout.
Agree the cutover and data-validation plan, train users, and operate the environment against the approved service responsibilities.
Before work begins, agree on the scope, responsible owners, acceptance criteria, and handover requirements. We’ll discuss the evidence and documentation relevant to your project during discovery.
TECHNOLOGY IN CONTEXT
Platform selection depends on your existing environment, licensing, device and application compatibility, and the agreed scope.

This is a Network Experts managed hosting and implementation offering for Open Dental. Open Dental’s own hosted Cloud product is a separate option. We confirm application support, licensing, and the selected deployment method with the relevant providers instead of presenting the services as interchangeable.
The offer is designed to provide a lower-cost managed-cloud option for suitable DSOs. We validate that goal with current quotes and a complete comparison of software, hosting, integrations, protection, implementation, and support. A lower price cannot be promised for every group or configuration.
Authorized international access can be part of the design, subject to connectivity, location policies, applicable agreements, and approved data handling. We select a hosting and access arrangement and test from representative locations. We do not promise identical or lowest-possible latency everywhere.
Compatibility needs a practical test. Some components rely on local drivers, peripherals, or vendor-specific bridges. We map those dependencies and pilot the actual imaging, scanning, printing, and clinical workflows before deciding how each component connects to the hosted environment.
Remote use depends on connectivity. We assess an appropriate secondary connection and document the interruption procedure for the practice. Hosting resilience does not eliminate a local internet outage, and any offline workflow must be separately supported, approved, and tested.
